In 2021, opera singer Harmonie Deschamps founded the Lilanoor Ensemble as a space to bring together her diverse musical influences, her taste for bold and unconventional projects, her passion for travel, and her desire to break down the boundaries of classical art forms.

These values are shared by all the artists involved in Lilanoor’s projects—performers rooted in classical music who have each cultivated a strong connection to other musical traditions. Within this collective, spanning France and India, every voice is unique, and each presence essential.

Among these artists—without whom none of this would be possible—are Harmonie Deschamps, Hindustani vocalist Bhanu Sharma, puppeteer Mohammed Shameem, singer Chayan Adhkari, actor Avik Roy, theorbist Carles Dorador i Jové, cellist Élodie Poirier, accordionist Pierre Cussac, and pianist Benjamin Pras.
